This 15 metre long concertina book was installed in the attic space of the Medieval building 'The Clerk's House' , Shoreditch High Street, London at the turn of the Millennium 1999-2000. Depicting the shifting sandbanks between France and Southern England where they are often named on charts in both French and English. The whole book was hand-drawn from out-of-date charts in sepia ink, and then sealed with varnish. The case binding of legal buckram is removable.
